Urdrevan have had their mother tree destroyed triggering the great melt, endangering many lives. This proposal seeks to establish the Arboretum of the Sacred Saplings, a fortified and enchanted ten-acre site within Urdrevan. Following the destruction of the Mother Tree and the onset of the Great Melt, Urdrevan faces severe environmental and spiritual upheaval. Four elemental saplings are being gathered to grow a new Mother Tree—but to thrive, they must be protected.

The arboretum will consist of a series of modular, dome-shaped greenhouses. Each biome within the arboretum is tailored to the sapling’s original environment, enriched with indigenous flora and fungi to encourage healthy growth and spiritual resonance. The central grove cradles Urdrevan’s new Mother Sapling—drawn from the essences of four elemental trees—whose eventual maturity may restore balance to the land. Designed for resilience, the arboretum will also invite participation from other nations who have seen their sacred trees damaged or lost, such as The Wonder.

Strategically located to mitigate the Melt’s spread, the structure’s perimeter will be warded and fortified, incorporating magical protections, and defensive architecture. At its heart, the Arboretum will cradle the new Mother Tree of Urdrevan once the saplings are located and hopefully this will counteract the Great Melt. By investing in this sanctuary, the Nations can come together in common cause—to root hope in the soil and ensure its protection for generations to come.
