They do not depend on outside imports to show them the latest fashions – instead they rely on the natural world around them and the sheer variety of colour on offer. “Camouflage” greens and browns would make no sense in this forest, full of abundant megaflora where every colour of the rainbow is on offer. We’re influenced by historical cuts where fabric is precious – Iron-Age style chitons to early medieval T-tunics that are dyed brightly and embellished by the owner to show their skills or that of their relations. Wrongdoers are confronted directly about their actions, and punishment often fits the crime.

Tribal: While The Wonder as a society is built on connection and collaboration, it does not organise itself into or recognise the existence of tribes. The term ‘tribal’ has problematic connotations pertaining to appropriation and misrepresentation of African culture. Players should avoid any influences from this theme entirely.

Eco-warriors: While Wonderfolk care deeply for nature, their connection is rooted in fable magic and the Gods rather than an activist mindset.

Pacifists: Though peaceful and home to many mediators, The Wonder knows when it’s time for war. Arborists lead the charge, minimising unnecessary death but standing firm when conflict calls.
