Commissioned by The Coral Corsairs, Visions of Light is to be both a museum and a lighthouse, a dual beacon of guidance and glory rising from Ravesso’s harborfront. Constructed in the classical Ravesso style, its terracotta roof tiles gleam in the sun while its walls are painted in hues of coral, purple, blue, and gold, echoing both the sea’s treasures and the Corsairs’ flamboyant reputation.

The lighthouse tower emerges directly from the rear of the main hall, its lantern casting light far across the waves. The tower itself doubles as a symbol: where the lighthouse protects sailors from peril, the museum celebrates those who sought peril willingly — the treasure hunters of the Coral Corsairs.

The museum within is modest but refined, housing 20 ornate display cases capable of presenting artifacts of medium size. Each case is carefully warded and enchanted with oracular weavings; instead of static plaques, visitors who lay a hand upon the glass receive visions of each artifact’s antiquity and the moment of its discovery. These brief but vivid illusions immerse the guest in the Corsairs’ daring exploits, blurring the line between history and spectacle.

Practical considerations are not overlooked: a record-keeping room ensures all artifacts have proof of ownership, maintaining a level of legitimacy in the Corsairs’ trade. True to their oath of fairness, any rightful claimant who can prove ownership is permitted to withdraw their item, provided the Corsairs’ scribes verify the claim.

At the museum’s entrance stands a security booth and a domed donation box. Coins tossed into the box spiral downward in a satisfying clinking whirl, turning charity into entertainment. Above the doorway, a semi-fancy gilded sign announces the hall, its lettering designed to catch sunlight and shimmer with seaborne charm.

The Visions of Light is more than a house of treasures; it is a manifesto in stone and glass, a celebration of risk, reward, and the ever-shifting tides of fortune.
