Within the martial heart of Morvalis, where discipline and industry converge into purpose, the Morvalis Land Navy is proposed as an unconventional yet formidable expansion of terrestrial warfare doctrine. These are ships not bound to water, but instead designed to traverse land as mobile siege platforms, bringing the shape and presence of naval power onto the battlefield itself. Constructed in Morvalis using resilient Morvalian timber and crafted under the expertise of Portavan shipwrights, each vessel will retain the structure and silhouette of traditional seafaring craft. However, their purpose is wholly transformed. Movement is achieved through skeletal labour units, which provide locomotion by pushing, pulling, or bearing the vessels upon integrated wheel systems. Directional control is similarly managed, with turning entirely executed through coordinated skeletal manoeuvring.

While unconventional, this system allows the vessels to function as slow-moving but heavily fortified platforms, capable of advancing across terrain while maintaining stability for onboard operations. Their primary battlefield role is to serve as elevated firing stations for mages, archers, and siege engines, offering commanding vantage points that shift with the tide of battle. Armament and siege integration will be provided in collaboration with Hammerstadt (pending agreements), ensuring each vessel is equipped with appropriate offensive capabilities. These may include mounted siege engines and reinforced firing emplacements designed for sustained engagement.

Aesthetic and symbolic design remain integral to the identity of the Land Navy. Each vessel will be adorned with bone sculptural work, animated figureheads, and murals dedicated to the Saints of Duck, reinforcing Morvalis’ cultural and religious identity even amid warfare. These elements are not purely decorative; they serve to unify morale and instil a shared sense of purpose among crews and commanders alike. Future enhancements are under consideration, including the development of specialized sails constructed from alternative “skin materials,” intended to further distinguish and upgrade the identity of these vessels as they evolve.
