The Nest now stands upon the rugged, warmed slopes of Embermount within the sacred region of Phoenix Rest, offering sanctuary to those ascending the mountain's winding paths. Built in the style of an old stone tavern, it has become a welcome refuge for adventurers, pilgrims, and wanderers alike, not as the journey's end, but as a place to rest before continuing towards the volcano's peak.

Constructed primarily from stone drawn from the mountain itself, the tavern is built to withstand Embermount's unforgiving environment while embracing the warmth that defines it. At its heart lies a naturally heated spring, carefully incorporated into the building to provide travellers with a place to recover from the climb, easing weary bodies before they continue their ascent.

Rising above the tavern is its distinctive central chimney, deliberately designed as a resting place for phoenixes. More than a functional feature, it serves as a symbolic cradle of rebirth, reflecting the enduring cycles of flame, renewal, and resilience that have long been associated with Embermount. Dominating the southern wall, a magnificent stained-glass window depicts a phoenix in brilliant colour.
