The Sanctum of the Forest Warder is a proposed protected environment designed to raise and nurture Kiddicus, the surviving offspring of the legendary magical guardian goat of Naxara’s forest. This site is intended to provide a safe, sustainable, and naturalistic home where Kiddicus can grow strong, develop its magical potential, and eventually assume its mother’s role as protector of the forest.
The sanctuary will consist of secure but open grazing fields, allowing Kiddicus freedom of movement while maintaining protection from potential predators. A series of small shelters, crafted from Kairosi timber and stone, will provide shaded rest areas, sleeping quarters, and observation points for caretakers. The enclosures will be integrated into the natural landscape, using low hedges, enchanted barriers, and camouflaged fencing to maintain a harmonious appearance while ensuring safety.
Caretaker facilities will include living quarters, storage for feed and medical supplies, and small training spaces where gentle guidance and magical conditioning can be safely applied. Minor protective weavings will ensure Kiddicus’ magical essence is preserved, and warding runes will prevent accidental intrusion by the Void or other malevolent forces. Pathways and observation decks will allow caretakers and visitors to study the young guardian without disturbing its routine, promoting a balance between interaction and independence.
Beyond its functional purpose, the sanctuary will serve as a place of cultural and spiritual significance for the Kairosi, celebrating the connection between the people and the enchanted forest. Natural landscaping will include fruit-bearing trees, medicinal herbs, and small water features to encourage natural foraging, hydration, and magical growth.
