A Fully Established Corvid Roost and Exchange Hub for the Urdrevan Network

The Rookery is a fully completed corvid sanctuary and exchange hub constructed within a vast hollowed tree structure, designed to support a large scale nesting population of corvids under the stewardship of the Urdrevan group, The Crows. The interior of the hollow has been extensively woven and reinforced using layered natural materials including straw, twigs, and soft nesting fibres, forming a dense, self-supporting network of roosting spaces. The structure functions as a living vertical habitat, allowing birds to nest, move, and congregate across multiple levels within a single continuous environment.

The Rookery is capable of supporting approximately two hundred corvids, operating as both a sanctuary and an organised information exchange hub. In return for shelter and protection, resident birds are understood to contribute items of informational or material value, including small objects, trinkets, and recoverable goods gathered from surrounding regions. The Urdrevan Crows oversee the management and coordination of the Rookery, maintaining structured interaction between the corvid population and external networks. This arrangement strengthens mutual trust while enabling the controlled use of corvid behaviour for reconnaissance, retrieval, and environmental awareness. The population is considered self-sustaining, with minimal external oversight required beyond general stewardship and environmental maintenance. The system is designed to naturally integrate with surrounding ecosystems, functioning as a centralised “bird city” within the wider forest network.

The Rookery therefore operates as a fully established corvid habitat and potential intelligence exchange centre; combining habitation, cooperation, and structured resource return in a single integrated structure.
