In Preparation for Wings Unseen

'''“Even the fiercest flames must rest in still waters.”'''

Where once the hedge ran wild and unbroken, a sacred glade now rests: a spring-fed pool, hidden within the natural folds of the Gift. This grove is no monument, but a promise—a gesture of hope for dragons that may yet come. Water tumbles gently from a newly awakened spring, weaving its way to a moss-rimmed basin surrounded by ferns and towering, rain-kissed trees. Stone statues of slumbering dragons keep a silent watch over the waters, their forms caught mid-dream, as if waiting for their kin to stir.

Though no viable dragon egg has yet been confirmed, the site has been cultivated in trust and preparation. Enchanted through subtle weavings, the pool glows faintly beneath the moonlight, its waters imbued with revitalising properties meant to soothe scales, sinew, and spirit alike. Designed as a haven for dragon hatchlings—should they one day be born here—this grove offers both physical restoration and emotional reprieve.

The build is subtle, respectful, and alive. The rainforest trees above breathe softly over the clearing, their branches sheltering without smothering. The undergrowth remains wild enough to feel untouched, yet lovingly shaped by careful hands to cradle what might one day become Valdraeth’s greatest protectors.

And still, there is the quiet watchfulness of the divine. Should a dragon egg ever be found and prove true, The Hearth and The Guardian may turn their gaze toward this place. Until then, the spring remains patient—a still pool, waiting for ripples.
