The Gift of the Hedge Training Compound have now been completed beyond the dragon egg chamber, where the Hedge parts just enough to allow safe passage. What was once a small natural clearing has been carefully prepared, not through force alone, but through patience, reverence, and the careful guidance of those permitted to work within the Hedge. The wild growth has been coaxed into towering lattices of vine and bramble, curling inward to form a broad, sheltered enclosure ready for the day its first occupants arrive.
Designed with the future in mind, the clearing provides ample space for young dragons to stretch their wings, strengthen their bodies, and begin the earliest stages of their training. The natural canopy above filters the light into shifting patterns across the ground, while the living walls of the Hedge offer both protection and a constant reminder that this sanctuary exists only through respect for the wild that surrounds it.
A low wooden cabin has also been completed at the edge of the enclosure. Simple but robust in construction, it is intended to house the future dragon riders and trainers who will one day live alongside their charges. Living quarters, stores, and space for instruction have all been prepared, allowing those entrusted with the dragons' care to remain close at hand as the bonds between rider and beast begin to form.
The Gift of the Hedge Training Compound now stands complete, a place not yet filled with dragons, but purpose-built for the legends that will one day take their first steps, first flights, and first breaths of flame within its walls.
